Arts to warm your hearts (this chilly winter)
Published on 03 July 2023
Winter. Cold. Wet. The great outdoors isn’t quite so appealing at the moment.
But don’t get stuck on the couch. Warm up with a show or exhibition at one of Port Noarlunga’s cosy arts spaces, the Arts Centre or Sauerbier House, and enjoy the inspired works of South Australian artists and musicians.
It’s great entertainment for low cost. Most of the shows are $30 or less and the exhibitions are free.
Shows at the Arts Centre are a musical mix of classic and folk, originals and covers, all in the centre’s intimate and friendly performance space. There’s also magic and a night of short films for the Fleurieu Film Festival.
Arts Centre and Sauerbier House exhibitions feature works in a variety of mediums, from wool and hair to paint and ceramics, including new contemporary creations made in the studio by artists in residence.
You can always duck out of the cold into the Art Shop at the Arts Centre to browse, buy or get your own inspiration for an arty winter.
View the full program of shows and exhibitions right into spring and summer or visit the Arts Centre or Sauerbier House for more information (and a warm welcome) Monday to Friday 10am-4pm or Saturday 1-4pm.
