Onkaparinga Now new website

Help improve council communications

Published on 19 March 2026

The City of Onkaparinga is reviewing the ways it shares news, updates, events and service information – and it wants to know what works best for you.

The council’s short Communications Survey asks the community how they want to receive council information, what channels they use, what topics matter most, and how often they want to hear from the council.

Channels include newsletters, social media, emails, the council website, as well as the print and online versions of Onkaparinga Now.

The council shares news and information in lots of ways, but it’s aware that different things work for different people.

If you’ve ever felt overloaded with information or if you feel like you often miss important updates, this is your chance to tell the council so it can create a better way to keep you informed.

Feedback received will help the council make its communications clearer; and more accessible, timely and relevant.

The Communications Survey is open until Sunday 17 May and can be completed at the council’s Your Say website  – it will take approximately 10 minutes.

You can also download a print copy from the site to fill out, or pick one up from a council office or library.

The Communications Survey is part 2 of the City of Onkaparinga’s A better way campaign, which involves 3 short surveys to improve how the council listens, communicates and delivers.

Community engagement closed last week on the first survey – aimed at making it easier for people to have their say. The third survey will be aimed at improving the customer experience, and will go live later in the year.
