Southern Pride March celebrates 10 years

The Southern Pride March and Family Fun Day returns to Beach Road Christies Beach this Sunday 22 February, and you’re invited to this special day on Onkaparinga’s annual LGBTIQA+ calendar.

Gather at Market Reserve (123 Beach Road) at 1pm to begin the march to Rotary Park (1 Beach Road) where the fun will continue.

LGBTIQA+ community members, family, friends and allies both young and old are invited to attend the free event, where you can enjoy stalls and entertainment for all ages.

The event lineup includes:

  • a Welcome to Country from Spirit in Unity
  • entertainment from KLEO FOX, Sonic Divas, Vee Suitor (Justin Thyme), Emerauld Music, and Rowdy Line Dance
  • a BBQ thanks to the Rotary Club of Seaford (with Rotary Club of Morphett Vale helping out as traffic marshals), drinks also available
  • participation from Noarlunga SES, Dykes on Bikes, Brandon Johnson DJ Bee Jay and KLEO FOX and the Marching Boys, Belly Dance Amethyst and the South Australia Busters
  • stalls and participation from Bfriend, Art Creations by Janine Howlett., Spark face and body art, Rainbow Shoelace Project, The Laser Shack by Ellen Coff, Proud 2BU, SAMESH, Thorne Harbour SA, Rainbow Labor SA The Greens SA, Mind Australia, Catalyst Foundation, Resthaven, The SAFE Centre, Flinders University Queer Collective, Self Love Photographer, ColourFull Abilities, Ella Morgan Designs, SA Rainbow Advocacy Alliance and Animals Anonymous
  • a kids costume competition and pet costume competition (come dressed in your most rainbow outfits) – prizes to be won!
  • a 10-year celebration cake.
