Vote for your favourite local businesses

Vote for your favourite local business heroes and go into the draw to win $100 to spend with the business you voted for.

The Onkaparinga Business Awards recognise and celebrate the best businesses in the City of Onkaparinga as judged by the ultimate expert – you!

By jumping online here, you can vote for your favourite business, tell us what award category it fits in, and even leave a testimonial about what makes it great. You can vote for as many of your favourite businesses as you like, but only one vote per business is counted.

This year’s award categories are:

  • Fantastic Food and Drink
  • Precise Professional Services
  • Perfect Personal Services
  • Remarkable Retail Experiences
  • Captivating Creative Services.

What makes these awards so special – and so popular – is that residents can get behind their local favourite and recognise its contribution to the local community. Last year, more than 15,000 people cast their votes, and this year council is hoping for even more.

One of last years’ winners, Bec Cooper from McLaren Vale’s Ginny Pig Distillery, who also won in 2020, spoke about what it meant to have her business publicly acknowledged by the local community.

“Running a small business means you rarely have time to stop and reflect on your accomplishments, and the Onkaparinga Business Awards were a fantastic opportunity to do this, and celebrate with all the other finalists,” said Bec.

“Winning the award was great recognition of what Ginny Pig Distillery has achieved. With such a broad range of amazing businesses in Onkaparinga, it was a great networking event meeting and talking to people from all industries.

“If you know a small business working hard and excelling at what they do, please recognise their effort by voting for them.”

The 2022 winners will be announced during an awards ceremony at the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Coast Visitor Centre on Wednesday 23 November.

Cast your vote now until Sunday 6 November and make sure your favourite local business is showcased for the fantastic goods or service they provide. All voters go into the draw to win $100 to spend with the business they voted for.
