2025 marks the 110th anniversary of the day when Australian and New Zealand soldiers landed on Gallipoli in 1915 during World War I.
There are a range of places across Onkaparinga where you can commemorate the anniversary on ANZAC Day on Friday 25 April.
“I encourage you to join me in recognising the more than 1.5 million people who have served Australia in conflicts, wars and peacekeeping operations; and remember the more than 103,000 Australians who sacrificed their lives in our country’s name,” says City of Onkaparinga Mayor Moira Were.
“As ongoing supporters of many of these free events, I’m always moved by this annual coming together of the community, the volunteer efforts, the collaboration, and the important advocacy and support work that’s undertaken for veterans and their families.”
