Sixty-four finalists have been named the region’s favourite businesses in the 2024 Onkaparinga Business Awards.
A new record of 505 local businesses received votes in this year's awards.
Dara Boucher, Onkaparinga’s Business Engagement and Communications Officer, says the council is thrilled with the number of businesses being highlighted by our community.
“A near-record of more than 13,780 votes was received during this year’s awards. That’s an incredible leap up from the solid showing of 9,100 votes in 2023,” she says.
“The interest in the awards shows just how invested our community is in their local traders, whether they’re hairdressers, dog groomers, builders or distilleries.
‘Onkaparinga’s economy is vibrant – and it’s great to see how much the local community supports local businesses. They are the real beating heart of our community.”
The annual Onkaparinga Business Awards recognise the important impact businesses have across all sectors, from hospitality and retail to the creative arts and personal and professional services.
The 64 finalists are named across 15 industry-specific categories, including micro and larger business subcategories for some sectors.
The winners in each category will be announced at an awards night at the Vale Restaurant and Bar in McLaren Flat on Wednesday 13 November and will be published in Onkaparinga Now.
