Enjoy Encore's summer vibes - and prepare for winter fun

Enjoy 90 days of great summer entertainment from Encore, the City of Onkaparinga’s exciting program of pop-up hospitality and lifestyle experiences – and get ready for Encore’s new winter program.

Encore’s summer favourites are back – the SandBAR and TJS Twilight Markets at Christies Beach, Pizzateca Beach at Aldinga Beach and the Cabana Club at Port Noarlunga.

New summer fun includes outdoor eats, drinks and entertainment at No Bad Days in Moana, markets and cultural events at Summer in the Square in Willunga, and local drops, wellbeing and lifestyle activities in upscale tipis in McLaren Vale.

This winter Encore also launches its new Winter Villages and After Dark program. Grant applications are now open for local businesses and associations to take part.

“We are looking for new tourism experiences that complement the surrounding area and inspire people to visit, stay and spend,” says Nick Carr, Acting Director Strategy and Engagement.

“If you have new ideas to take your business outdoors, such as igloos or fire pits, or if you have a great way to collaborate with other businesses, we would love to receive your expression of interest.

“To help you, we are offering grants of up to $5000 to businesses and associations in Onkaparinga to bring our laneways, main streets and tourism precincts to life for the winter.”

Encore’s Winter Villages and After Dark program will run between 1 June and 31 August 2023. To apply as a host or for a grant, go to the council’s activation program website. Grant applications are now open and close Tuesday 28 February 2023.
