Council launches new website

Finding information on the City of Onkaparinga’s website has now become quicker and easier, with council recently launching its new website.

The website includes a task-focused homepage, showing the most commonly searched for services and information, along with several great new features.

One of the new features is Your Map, which personalises content based on a person’s location.

Users can type in their address to display what’s happening in their area.

This includes roadworks, major projects, council events, development applications and opportunities for engagement.

The interactive map also displays nearby facilities including parks, libraries and community centres, as well as bin collection dates.

You can also subscribe to selected pages – such as events – to receive an email when those pages are updated with new information.

The site is completely mobile responsive, making it easy to navigate on any device.

“The new website is a giant leap forward for us in terms of useability and ease of navigation, especially on mobile devices,” Mayor Thompson said.

“As new technology becomes available, we’ll continually update and upgrade the site.”

There is still some content that has not been transferred to the new site. The old website will remain operational until this is completed. The old website can be accessed via the link at the top of the screen.
