Donate to the Onkaparinga Christmas Tree

Make this Christmas brighter for local children in need by donating to the Onkaparinga Christmas Tree.

Gifts for children up to the age of 18 years can be placed under trees at four locations:

  • the Noarlunga office of the City of Onkaparinga
  • the Aberfoyle Hub Library
  • the Aldinga Library
  • the Woodcroft Community Centre.

You can donate your gifts from Monday 21 November until Friday 9 December.

The gifts will be distributed to children across the region by the Southern Adelaide Domestic Violence Service, Anglicare Outer Southern Hub, Christian Care and Support Centre in Aldinga Beach, and the Salvation Army in Morphett Vale.

A spokesperson for the Southern Adelaide Domestic Violence Service said the service relied on donated gifts to make Christmas a little more special for the families and children it supported.

“Most of the families cannot afford to buy presents at Christmas. Many are homeless, living in motels and shelters, and have nothing but the clothes they were wearing when they left their homes,” they said.

“The service is grateful that people donate, otherwise the children and families would have nothing. When we pass on the gifts, we see tears from the parents and wonderful excitement from the children.”
