Get your bright rainbow outfits ready – the City of Onkaparinga’s inaugural Pride Picnic is headed to Willunga on Saturday 8 November!

The free community event will take place at the Willunga Jubilee Rose Garden on Aldinga Road from 11am to 2pm in celebration of Feast Festival – SA’s annual LGBITQ+ queer arts and cultural festival.

The Pride Picnic welcomes people of all ages from the LGBTQIA+ community, friends, families and allies.

Bring your own rug, chair and food to enjoy, or pre-order a picnic grazing box from Hey Juj in McLaren Vale ($35 for 2 people - order at the time of booking your free ticket at the Feast Festival website). There’ll also be coffee available for purchase from Bean Loved.

There’ll also be live music, face painting and an awesome community feel – this event is not one to miss.

Help celebrate Pridevember and the Feast Festival’s 28th year down south – book your free tickets at the Feast Festival website.

Onkaparinga Youth has created this event – in proud partnership with Pride of the South – in response to the needs identified by young people in the community. Onkaparinga Youth provides safe and inclusive spaces for all members of Onkaparinga’s diverse community.

Feast Festival has 117 events running across South Australia from 1–23 November, supporting LGBTQIA+ artists and performers, and bringing together communities and audiences to celebrate the rainbow community.

Each year, the City of Onkaparinga flies the rainbow flag above its Noarlunga offices to show the council’s support for LGBTQIA+ people and their families in the community.
