Visitors are encouraged to escape their way. Why not stay in stunning geodesic domes with sweeping valley views; sip on a beverage of your choice in beautiful architecturally designed taphouses, distilleries or cellar doors; or indulge in a leisurely brunch or divine long lunch?
Or perhaps you’d like to enjoy a wander of the famous Willunga Farmers Market, take to the skies in a vintage biplane, or meander along the Route 31 Coastal Drive, taking in spectacular beaches and coastal villages.
The new guide provides all the inspiration and motivation needed to explore one of the most picturesque regions in South Australia, with the McLaren Vale Wine Region nestled against pristine coastline, all just 40 minutes from Adelaide. From the new to the old favourites, pick up your copy to discover it all.
The guide’s release comes in the wake of an incredible haul of national and international awards for the region in the past 12 months.
McLaren Vale wineries and winemakers have taken out prestigious awards in Paris, Germany, London, Switzerland and Italy, including a 2025 Global Best of Wine Tourism award for architecture and landscape.
Meanwhile, eight local restaurants were rated in Australia’s top one per cent in the 2024 Australian Good Food Guide Chef Hat Awards.
Other awards have included national gongs for Australia’s best distillery bar and best regional restaurant wine list, and for South Australia’s best restaurant of the year, and best country pub.
The tenth edition of the visitor guide features an Insta-worthy view from the cellar door deck of Chandlers Hill winery, Main & Cherry, on the front cover, showcasing both the region’s famous vineyards and a slice of its 31 kilometres of iconic coastline.
The new McLaren Vale & Fleurieu Coast Visitor Guide is available from visitor information centres and visitor hotspots including hotel foyers, car hire locations and the Adelaide Airport, as well as locations throughout Victoria’s Great Ocean Road.
