It’s back! Everyone’s favourite trucktacular day returns on Friday 9 October, with Trucks on Tour headed back to Morphett Vale’s Wilfred Taylor Reserve.

The free, City of Onkaparinga-hosted community event is designed for children of all ages and their families, allowing little ones to climb into the driver’s seat of their favourite vehicles, explore their inner workings and watch them in action.

In addition, SA Police, Emergency Services and SA Power Networks and will be on hand to engage with the audience and showcase the various vehicles essential for keeping the community safe.

There’ll be plenty of returning favourites, as well as new experiences, including a Royal Flying Doctor Service simulator.

With horns honking, lights flashing, and exciting demonstrations happening throughout the day, the event is sure to capture the imagination of children and adults alike.

We all need some down time every now and again, so from 1–2pm the event holds a sensory hour, allowing families who seek a quieter experience to attend without the noisy horns, devices and demonstrations.

Spectrum Connect Inc. will also host a sensory refuge along with a quiet activity zone for the event's duration.

When you’re not experiencing your favourite vehicles, you can enjoy activities and entertainment including face-painting, go karts, live music by Dave Hull, roving entertainment from Cosplay for a Cause and Pip the Fairy.

There’ll also be food stalls and coffee, as well as cultural and environmental games, displays and activities around Christie Creek – allowing you to learn about Kaurna culture and local biodiversity.

Head to the council’s website for all the details, including stallholder, parking and accessibility information.

Trucks on Tour is proudly sponsored by Fast Lane Traffic, Down South Party Hire, and Fully Promoted Branded Apparel & Promotional Products.
