Have your say on Clarendon Recreation Ground upgrades

The City of Onkaparinga would like your feedback on the next phase of upgrades for the Clarendon Recreation Ground.

The Clarendon Recreation Ground upgrade continues the staged implementation of the Clarendon Recreation Ground Master Plan 2020. The endorsed 2020 Master Plan identified 15 separate but related projects.

A number of these have already been completed including construction of a new playground and improvements to the area in front of the pavilion.

Council is keen to receive your opinion on the next group of upgrade projects proposed for delivery over the next five years which include:

  • reconstruction of the upper tennis and netball courts
  • upgrades of the unsealed carparks next to the Pavilion and across the road
  • construction of carparks next to the Bowling Club for disability parking
  • upgrading of the carpark by the river below the Bowling Club
  • upgrading of the picnic area behind the Pavilion.

Please note that reconstruction of the lower tennis and netball courts is not scheduled for funding until 2026-27. The City of Onkaparinga will be seeking feedback on concept plans for that project at a later date. In the meantime, resurfacing of the lower courts has been completed to increase their longevity until they are rebuilt.

To provide your feedback on the projects to be delivered over the next five years please visit council’s Your Say page. You can also give feedback and have any questions about the upgrade projects answered at a drop-in information session, which will be held at the Clarendon Bowling Club from 4.30–6.30pm on Thursday 12 May.

Public consultation closes at 5pm on Monday 30 May.
