Professional golf meets McLaren Vale’s food, wine and coastal lifestyle when the annual Players Series South Australia returns to Willunga Golf Course from October 22–25.
Everyone is invited, with free entry for fans across 4 days of world-class golf, local produce and family entertainment!

A golf weekend for the whole family
Willunga provides the perfect setting for a long weekend away, combining professional golf with the region’s renowned wine, food, beaches and scenic coastal landscapes.
Entry and parking are free, making the event an easy option for families, groups and golf fans looking for a weekend out.
The Tournament Village will bring the best of McLaren Vale to the golf course, with local food and wine vendors creating a relaxed festival atmosphere across the weekend.
Local winery Hither & Yon will be pouring a selection of its wines, giving fans the chance to enjoy a taste of McLaren Vale while watching some of Australia’s best emerging golfers compete.
Saturday and Sunday (24–25 October) will feature a dedicated program of free family activities from 11am to 3pm, including golf activations, mini putt, a jumping castle and face painting.
Groundbreaking golf
For the fourth time, Willunga will be part of the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia and WPGA Tour of Australasia schedule, hosting the first event of a new season for the groundbreaking series that features a unique format.
Men and women professional and amateur golfers compete in the same field, for the same trophy, and a share of the same prize money purse, while there are separate junior and all abilities competitions.
Hosted by former Australian international cricketer and media personality Greg Blewett, the event will include a number of South Australians including Lachlan Barker, Jak Carter and Kristalle Blum who would all love to win on home soil.
Defending champion Matías Sánchez has lodged his entry to return to Willunga, looking to become the first player to successfully defend a Players Series title.
Austin Bautista won the inaugural SA event in 2023, before South Australian Jack Buchanan claimed the title in 2024 – a victory that helped propel him onto the DP World Tour, where he is now competing against the best players in the world.
PGA of Australia’s General Manager of Tournaments and Global Tour Relationships Nick Dastey said: “We’re delighted to be returning to Willunga for another year with Players Series South Australia and continuing our partnership with a great South Australian in Greg Blewett as host.
“We’ve seen three editions so far at Willunga which has quickly established itself as a favourite stop on the Tour for our players.”
WPGA Tour of Australasia Chief Executive Officer Karen Lunn said: “The Players Series has become one of the standout concepts on our schedule and we're excited to return to Willunga to continue our 2026 season alongside the Challenger PGA Tour of Australasia.
“The Fleurieu Peninsula provides a fantastic setting for our players, while the mixed-field format continues to showcase the very best of men’s and women’s professional golf competing together.

With a $200,000 prize purse up for grabs, the tournament promises 4 days of competitive professional golf, while giving fans the chance to enjoy everything the McLaren Vale and Fleurieu Peninsula region is renowned for.

Play on Saturday and Sunday will be broadcast live on Kayo Sports and Foxtel from 3pm–6pm AEDT if you plan on catching any of the action at home.
